Martha’s Moms Rowing Team

Masters Women’s Rowing Seattle

Martha’s Moms is coached by Katie Gardner, who rowed at the University of Washington (varsity 2005) and was a UW assistant women’s novice coach for two years under Erica Schwab. Their crews placed second at the PAC-10 Rowing Championships in 2006 and 2007, and their 4+ won the 2007 Pac-10 Championship and placed 5th at the NCAA Championships.

Katie has also helped run masters camps at the UW and a junior sculling camp.

What appeals to her about coaching Martha’s Moms? “The atmosphere of the team. Everyone wants to be there. They enjoy being around rowing, and are so self-motivated.”
